Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Yes! Canine Care.

By booking or engaging Yes! Canine Care, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Yes! Canine Care

Yes! Canine Care provides behaviour-informed support relating to dogs who experience difficulty with grooming and handling.

Services may include initial consultations, behavioural grooming support, follow-up consultations, personalised recommendations and education for dog owners, groomers and other dog professionals.

The approach taken will depend on the individual dog, their history, current behaviour and ability to cope.

2. Behavioural Support and Consultations

Initial consultations are used to gather information about your dog's history, grooming experiences, behaviour and current challenges.

Following a consultation, Yes! Canine Care may provide recommendations and practical strategies designed to support your dog's ability to cope with grooming.

Behaviour can change over time and outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Recommendations are based on the information available at the time of consultation and may be adjusted as your dog's needs and behaviour change.

3. Behavioural Grooming Sessions

Behavioural grooming sessions are designed around the individual dog's current ability to cope.

The aim is to provide a safe, supportive environment and to work within the dog's current emotional and behavioural capacity.

The goal of a session may not always be to complete a full groom. Depending on the dog's behaviour and welfare, a session may instead focus on building tolerance, introducing equipment or procedures, practising cooperative care skills or completing only those aspects of grooming the dog can comfortably manage.

4. Safety, Welfare and Session Changes

The welfare and safety of the dog, the owner and anyone involved in the session are a priority.

Yes! Canine Care reserves the right to modify, pause or stop a session where continuing may present a safety concern or where the dog is experiencing a level of distress that makes continuing inappropriate.

Where possible, this will be discussed with the owner and alternative options or next steps will be considered.

A session being modified or stopped does not necessarily mean that the service has not been provided. Fees will remain payable for services provided, subject to any rights the client may have under Australian Consumer Law.

5. Owner Responsibilities

Owners are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information about their dog, including known behavioural concerns, bite or aggression history, medical conditions, pain, medications and previous grooming experiences where relevant to the service.

Owners must notify Yes! Canine Care of any changes that may affect their dog's ability to participate safely.

Owners are also responsible for following reasonable safety instructions provided during consultations or grooming sessions.

6. Veterinary Care and Medical Concerns

Yes! Canine Care does not provide veterinary services or veterinary diagnosis.

Behavioural changes, handling difficulties or grooming-related behaviour may sometimes be associated with pain, illness or other medical factors.

Where a medical issue may be contributing to a dog's behaviour, Yes! Canine Care may recommend that the owner seek advice from their veterinarian.

Owners remain responsible for obtaining appropriate veterinary care for their dog.

7. Working With Your Dog's Groomer

Where appropriate and with the owner's permission, Yes! Canine Care may communicate with or provide recommendations to the dog's groomer.

The purpose of this collaboration is to help create a consistent and practical approach for the dog.

Yes! Canine Care does not take responsibility for services provided independently by another groomer or professional.

8. Booking and Payment

The initial consultation must be paid for in full before the consultation takes place.

Payment will generally be requested through a payment link provided by Yes! Canine Care.

Payment for subsequent consultations or other services may be invoiced following the service, unless otherwise agreed.

Fees will be communicated to the client before the service is provided.

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, at least 24 hours' notice is required.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or appointments missed without notice, may be charged in full and the payment will generally not be refundable.

Where circumstances outside the client's reasonable control arise, Yes! Canine Care may consider the circumstances and may offer an alternative arrangement at its discretion.

This cancellation policy does not limit any rights a client may have under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Refunds

Yes! Canine Care aims to provide services with reasonable care and skill.

Refunds are not generally provided where a client simply changes their mind, fails to attend an appointment or cancels within the 24-hour cancellation period.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

11. No Guaranteed Behavioural Outcome

Every dog responds differently to behavioural support.

Yes! Canine Care cannot guarantee a particular behavioural outcome, grooming outcome or timeframe for improvement.

Progress may depend on factors including the dog's history, health, environment, learning history, owner involvement and consistency of training and management.

12. Scope of Behavioural Support

Yes! Canine Care provides behaviour-informed support within the scope of its training, experience and qualifications.

Yes! Canine Care is not a veterinary practice and does not provide veterinary behaviourist services, veterinary diagnosis or medical treatment.

Where a dog's needs fall outside the appropriate scope of the service, Yes! Canine Care may recommend referral to a veterinarian, veterinary behaviourist, qualified trainer, groomer or other appropriate professional.

13. Information and Recommendations

Information and recommendations provided by Yes! Canine Care are based on the individual circumstances and information available at the time.

Owners are responsible for deciding how they implement recommendations and should seek appropriate professional advice where required.

14. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Yes! Canine Care Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and how it is handled.

15. Changes to These Terms

Yes! Canine Care may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal requirements.

The current version will be published on this website.
