Book an Initial Consultation
The first step is understanding your dog.
If your dog finds grooming difficult, an Initial Consultation gives us time to understand their history, behaviour and current challenges before deciding what support is appropriate.
What is an Initial Consultation?
This is a one-hour consultation focused on your dog's grooming behaviour. It gives us time to look at the bigger picture before deciding whether behavioural grooming, home support or another approach is appropriate.
Understand
Your dog's history, grooming experiences and current challenges.
Assess
Potential triggers, stress signals, strengths and what your dog can currently manage.
Plan
Practical next steps for you, your dog and, where appropriate, your groomer.
What Will We Talk About?
Your dog's grooming history
What happens before, during and after grooming
Specific procedures they struggle with
Behaviour and stress signals you've noticed
Previous experiences or changes
What you've tried so far
Your current groomer
What you'd like to achieve
What Happens Afterwards?
Following the consultation, we'll discuss the most appropriate next steps for your dog.
Depending on your dog's needs, this may include practical exercises to work on at home, behavioural support, behavioural grooming sessions, communication with your existing groomer, or referral to another professional where appropriate.
You'll receive practical recommendations based on your dog's individual needs, so you'll know what to work on and what the next step is.
Your Personalise Plan
Working With Your Groomer
If you already have a groomer, you don't necessarily need to change.
With your permission, I can provide your groomer with a concise summary of relevant behavioural information, including triggers, stress signals, what your dog can currently manage and strategies that may help during grooming.
Before You Book
Initial Consultation — 60 minutes
Investment — $150
